Monday League Mixed

Each team will comprise 4 players - 2 ladies and 2 men. Each match will consist of 4 rubbers - 1 men's doubles, 1 ladies doubles and 2 mixed doubles. Each rubber to be 2 sets with a tiebreak at 6 all. No third set will be played. One point will be awarded for each set won.

Wednesday League Men's Doubles

Each team will comprise 4 men. Each match will be of 4 doubles rubbers of 2 sets each with a tiebreak at 6 all. No third set will be played. One point will be awarded for each set won.

Player's Rules

The emphasis of the league is to enjoy winter competitive play in a friendly atmosphere. With this in mind no player registration is required.

• Players should not play for 2 different men's or mixed clubs.
• Nor should any player continue to play in the second division after ‘playing up' in the first division 3 times. However, where this is unavoidable the opposition should be notified at the start of the match and relevant sets conceded, if requested.

Cancellations

In the event of bad weather, the appropriate venue organiser will notify all affected team captains as early as possible of cancellation. Matches cancelled for reasons other than bad weather will no be rearranged except where agreed by both team captains and the league organiser. Instead, 8 points will be awarded to the opponents of the team failing to fulfil a fixture. Where a fixture needs to be rearranged this will be done by the league organisers.

Match Nights

• All matches will start promptly at 7pm (7.30 at Frinton) unless agreed otherwise.

• Where matches are curtailed by bad weather, points for uncompleted sets will be shared.
